Right thats one managerial bit of news out of the way, now for the important one.
Also Blackburn have already denied that Souness will leave, why cant we do that?
Peter Reid appears to have been given a stay of execution as Leeds manager, despite reports claiming he would be given the sack on Thursday.
The under-pressure boss reported for training as normal on Thursday and the club made an announcement to the Stock Exchange that he was remaining in charge.
The statement read: "Obviously everybody connected with Leeds United is concerned about the club's position in the Premier League table and the board has spent some considerable time considering all aspects of the situation.
"Our conclusion is that Peter Reid should remain as the team manager to lead the team's recovery performance."
Reid took over at Elland Road towards the end of last season and guided the club away from relegation.
But their disastrous start to the season has led to reports that he is set to be relieved of his duties.
The club have lost their last three games and conceded 10 goals in the process.
The club has sold off several of their best players but is still thought to be in £70m debt and Reid's gamble on bringing in loan signings have failed to make an impact so far.
