Fulham are cutting short midfielder Zesh Rehman's loan spell at Brighton.
Seagulls boss Mark McGhee said: "Fulham have got injury problems and they want him back.
"They did say that we could play him in the draw with Peterborough.
"But I felt that we should show some commitment to the players that will be here on Tuesday and next Saturday.
"We're disappointed that he's going back. We've already said if he becomes available in the near future we'll have him back again and he feels the same."
