Why the hell did that Hartlepool player not get a sending off.

I'm sure it was our debutant Calvin Andrew who took him out in a great challenge near the corner on the south west side and he (the Hartlepool guy) clearly had him pinned down in an extremely aggressive manner.

Hats off to Calv who didn't retaliate and who remained totally professional as he got up, incidentally towering over that orange twat, dusted himself off and carried on rippin it up..

What was that ref on ???

He certainly wasn't the best ref in the world but you come to expect that at this level. The lino at the family stand end was also shocking and clearly didn't know the offside rule, but missed Virgo's blatant handball, so these things even themselves out.

Couldn't believe he never saw that handball..... the South Stand was laughing - was it in the penalty area ?

think it was just outside (I was in D block) but wherever it was it was sooo obvious.

I did think the referee tried his best to let it flow today, didn't hand out cards unless absolutely necessary, and did OK.

To be fair to him, he wasn't much helped by the buffoon of a linesman on the South side of the ground. Virgo's late (and blatant) handball was laughable, and I can only think the lino thought it was so ridiculous he must have imagined it.

Our disallowed goal could have stood, and so could theirs, swings & roundabouts innit?

Probably the same trivial bit of nothing-ness as theirs was?

Hmm, theirs seemed to be disallowed for a push on Sullivan, which would make sense given the way that ball got past him. Not sure what ours was for, I assume someone was being held somewhere, I didn't see it but Elphick was in acres of space so maybe someone was holding his marker back.

Hmmm, well I didn't see a lot wrong with theirs I must say, and Sullivan certainly never looked likely to get near it (to be fair to him, he had a superb game, so that isn't meant as a criticism). Likewise, I never saw what was wrong with ours.

But hey ho, I'll take the three points, thanks very much.

Elphick's header was disallowed because Jarrett bundled his man down to the ground. No arguments at all. Blatant foul.
