Reading have recalled Darius Henderson and Andre Boucaud from their respective loan spells to give them a chance to impress the club's new manager.

Henderson played the final game of his two-month spell at Brighton at the weekend and 18-year-old midfielder Boucaud has been called back from a similar loan at Peterborough.

The Royals are set to announce their new boss this week, and reserve-team boss Brian McDermott explained: "When you've got a new manager at a club everyone's on a level playing field and will want to impress the new man."

Might as well hitch a lift back with SC?? Or is there more to this? Surely he desn't need to impress the new manager if it is SC since he has already blown that !!

Curioser and curioser. This is turning into a mad hatter's teaparty
except Luton aren't involved.

The corner quietly rusting
He hasn't impressed him in two months on loan what f'ing chance has he got now!

One good thing here Henderson has gone back we can get a decent, well better at least, player on loan in his place.

Well, to close the book on Henderson, he was mediocre at best.

I look forward to seeing him up against Sol Campbell when Reading get promoted to the Premiership.

Henderson is absolute gash. Can't believe Coppell wanted him on loan in the first place!

His contract is up at the end of the season, so I imagine he'll find his place in Division Three somewhere.

He's not that good.If he wants to join the sunday league team I play for I'm sure he'd just about make the subs bench.

The other fella, Andre Boucaud, is sheer class and I'm glad he's been recalled. Peterborough wanted him for longer but he's showing signs of making the Premiership sooner rather than later. Highly converse to Mr Henderson.

Thank God for that - they're well and truly welcome to the useless bastard.

However, we do need a good third-choice striker. We can't rely on McPhee & Knight. Jake is all well and good, but not as our best cover if either Chris or Leon gets injured.

I see the club site still has Henderson down on the betting for 1st scorer against Grimsby Saturday.

I like the way Reading's website suggested Darius had scored 2 goals in his spell on loan and "formed a lethal partnership with Leon Knight".

Er...2 penalties, no goals from open play, and our strike partnership has only showed signs of being lethal since Plug has come in.

Enjoy having him back Reading as he's about as mobile as a set of fitted wardrobes.
