Reading are believed to be winning the race to sign Wayne Bridge.
The former Albion loanee is reported to be close to agreeing a one-year deal at the Madejski Stadium, despite strong and very public*interest from QPR boss Harry Redknapp.
Bridge impressed in the Championship with the Seagulls last season.
He is now out of contract at Manchester City, who paid a large percentage of the left-back's wages during his stint at The Amex.
