OK the good people or men of NSC (unless any beaded ladies) how long do you use a razor blade for till you replace it ?

I would say around every two weeks for me with my Gillette Fusion but what about you ?

I literally cannot imagine why people wet-shave with electric razors so good these days. They last for years.

...and yes I shave (almost) every day.

When I did use a Mach 3 they lasted about 3-4 days.

I'm so wasteful on these, not helped by the fact I can only be bothered to shave once a week, even though I should shave every day.
So I use 1 blade a week, but that's only for 1 shave, as they don't seem to like two lots of serious Belamyesque hacking.

1hr 15mins to go, Beachy.

Thanks Greens :(
A squaddie posted in Germany in the 70's used to write to everyday product manufacturers praising their products, hoping to get, and often actually receiving, free samples by way of a thank you. He wrote to Wilkinson Sword, saying he had used one of their blades for three months, and it was still shave-sharp. By way of a thank you, WS sent him another three months supply

I find electric razors to irritate my skin and leave me with a rash on the few occasions I've used them, none of them got as close a shave as I get with a wet razor.

To the bigger question, I used to go with a mach 3 turbo changing every two weeks, but have recently switched to a fusion which seems to be lasting longer, so far up to three weeks (shaving every 4-5 days).

About six shaves so I guess a little over a month?

I'm not sure how true it is but someone once told me that the little blue strip on the razor that is apparantly soap/moistoriser, is designed in a way so that as it runs out it gives a dragging feeling which the user puts down to a blunt blade and in turn discards it.

I dunno about that, but I refuse to believe that STEEL only lasts as long as some bit of plastic/foam.

I usw 'King of Shaves' for the worst. They are dead cheap. Then I finish off with the Mach 3 turbo thingy, for the close shave. Mach lasts ages, not having to do the spade work.

I read that you can sharpen disposable razor blades on jeans, and a quick search brought up:

King of shaves for me, and about a week/10 days. I find electric razors utter shite, but i think that depends on people's skin/stubble

I spent around £100 quid on an electric shaver and it just irritates to hell my skin and does not shave close either.

Once a fortnight. I only shave a couple of times a week but as soon as the Gillette Mach 3 blue line has gone I chuck them in the bin. Shaving is such a chore, it's much more fun giving cunnilingus to my girlfriend.
