I've just got home from a short holiday to find £50 of raffle tickets in the post. As I'm a bit short after said holiday how would the club find out if I sold the tickets and pocketed the money. To stop this wouldn't the club be better off giving books of tickets out on match days to supporters on production of club membership or season ticket ID on a sale or return basis.. Also, bearing in mind you have to pay £1 for a season ticket to be sent out, how much is it costing to send out these raffle tickets and paying for the return postage.

The Club have done this before. Sussex County Cricket Club do it regularly. Loads of organisations run raffles this way.

Presumably they do this because it's a tried and tested way of raising money.

Good luck to the Centres of Excellence. In the scramble for funding, it's good to see that they haven't been forgotten by the Club.

Does anyone know why the PFA have reduced their contribution?

Sussex CCC (Supporters Club) have stopped posting tickets to members as they needed a licence which cost so much they would not make a profit.
So they just sell on the ground. It's a mad world.

The sale of any raffle tickets is up to the honest of the seller, if you are dishonest you will steal the money if you are honest you will not.

How many people will take raffle tickets at the ground when its pissing down and they will get soaked and ruined. Why give out tickets to about 5k people when they are send out to 10-20k.

Also, is anyone else confused by the prizes as advertised on the tickets?

ID £1000 is first, is there a second, third, etc... prize (and what are they, or is it upto the winners to choose??
