Winner of NSCs worst ever thread title?

there's a tenuous link...

When the plans were shown in 2013 they were said to have been inspired by a traditional Arabian boat - but the images went viral with commentators suggesting the stadium looked more like a woman's private parts

Deepest, darkest Sussex
I mean if you ignore all the other bad stuff going on around them when they were being built, those autobahns are lovely…

There’s a difference between not going there and your example of not being ‘caught’ going there, especially if we go back to the title of the thread!

Still in Brighton
I still can't decide whether to watch this debacle
a/ at all
b/ somehow without contributing to it financially or putting money into sponsors pockets (I've got a Hisense hob  )
c/ just shrug like a Newcastle fan and say it's nothing to do with me, I just want to enjoy watching football.

Me too. I love a bit of footy, but.....

And December, though.....not a lot else on......

I'll hold off for now.

Like a lot have said, this wc is unpalatable to say the least. No doubt I'll watch it though, particularly if we do well but have zero interest/excitement right now.
Funnily enough I was just reading something about it which made me check the dates. Think we are a dead cert to win it now. Turns out I've booked a flight to Dubai and will be in the air as the final is being played.

Oh well.

Would have liked to have seen some countries boycott it.

I've already decided I won't be watching a single minute of any of the matches.

At the end of my tether
We know all that is wrong about this World Cup . I too have less interest than I used to have . However, I agree with o/p that those stadiums look really nice. I suppose, for the money, they ought to be.

When the tournament comes I will watch some, out of a football interest rather than support of England. With several Albion players hoping to be there, I will watch them.
