From the town centre to the ground is no more than a 15 minute walk. There is a 'no football parking' zone around the stadium, but its tiny. I parked literally about 800 yards from the ground for the cup game. We got there early, parked near the ground, ready for a quick getaway, then went into town. £3 return on the bus or a 15 minute brisk walk.

Don't leave any valuables in the car though, as its not the best area!

plenty of pubs in town - nice little walk from the ground as well

the park and ride is pretty shit - if you are going to use it, much easier to walk from the racecourse down the hill to the ground - only takes about 10 minutes

Never had a problem parking near Whaddon Road before. To be honest I wasn't aware of a no-parking zone so it can't be big.

Tomorrow I will be mainly letting the train take the strain however.

You could try Tailors pub in town. It's in road opposite HMV (on right hand side).

Recommend the beer & food, plus they show live football on big screen.

Plenty of others around town, which is about 15/20min walk from ground.

Same here, I parked two streets away and some helpful home fans showed me where the ground was.

Yes, the club you are referring too is called "Parkland's" and as you state you can park your cars in there.

The ground is in a area of Cheltenham which is a little less desirable than the rest of the town, the area is called Whaddon and it's a council estate with you usual 21st century problem of the youth and the like. Please don't be put off by parking or drinking in the area as it's an away supporters' friendly place and you shouldn't have any problems.

The pubs in Whaddon :

Cat & Fiddle - Whaddon Road

Parklands - back of the football ground.

The Greyhound - 10 min walk from the ground.

The best places are in our regency town where you have everything. It takes around 15 mins to walk to town from the ground, you will pass many drinking houses :

Sudeley Inn (Prestbury Rd) - home fan pub, but you'll be made welcome (5 mins from WR).

Keep walking down Prestbury Rd to get to the town centre.

If you like a cheap pint [like me] then Weatherspoons is on the Bath Rd in town.

Cheltenham Promenade is little bit up market, but has some great old Edwardian buildings especially the southern end (Rotunda) it's really worth the visit if you have time; so is Pittville Park and Pump Rooms. If you like your horse racing there is a museum at the racecourse (free admission) and that is around 15/20 min walk from the football ground. You park anywhere around the ground, best places are Prestbury Road, Hewletts Road and Cromwell Road, lots of places to park in Whaddon too.

Have a safe trip and hope it's a good game.

The train station is about 50 minutes walk to the ground, and around 30 minutes to the town centre. You can catch a bus to town and I think it's the "D" bus.

If you decide to walk then you will be walking down Queens Road which has so many plended old buildings, keep walking down the road and you will come to the Rotunda where they filmed Butterflies in the late 70's/early 80's.

Now THAT is the kind of factoid we need more of on here - that's clinched it, I'm going. Thanks.
