Good beer. Away friendly yes?
Last year the old bill directed us to a nightclub which was the official 'away pub', charging about £6 for a bottle of budweiser - didn't even bother going inside for obvious reasons.
It's up there with the worst places for an away day personally, so will drink in Brum.

The Great Western is a decent ale house. They usually do grub but it is a Bank Holiday so might not on Friday. Away friendly too. Almost all the pubs in the town are not so welcoming unfortunately so it might be worth drinking in Birmingham beforehand - just an idea. Molineux is a 10-minute walk from the station.

It's always awful for pubs. Home fans only everywhere
1 mile from Tipton station is Mad O'Rourkes Pie Factory, which might be worth a detour.
If you can persuade someone else to drive the Beacon Hotel Sedgeley is about 5 miles south of Wolverhampton and the Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby Mild brewed on site is an absolute joy.

The Lych Gate Tavern is a great pub right in the middle of town, it has a variety of beers from Black Country ales. There is a sign saying home fans only, but we've been a couple of times and not had the remotest hint of bother, although of course we were discreet, respectful, no colours etc.
The designated away pub,as somebody else said, is absolute shithouse. I found it vaguely offensive that the police thought we would want to drink in such a shithole.

The Lych Gate is very small so will be packed early especially with BH shoppers. It's not really an option for away fans, the Great Western is a much better bet if you really want to drink in Wolves
