Pub lunch near Shoreham - recommendations please.

Taking my elderly Aunt out for lunch tomorrow. Looking for a nice country pub in the vicinity of Shoreham. My local knowledge is limited to the Red Lion and Amsterdam. Somewhere a little further afield would be nice.

I like the Waterside, it's usually nice and quiet for lunchtime and it's more than comfortable. Easy parking too.

As the weather will be dodgy, it's a cracking place to take a lady of age.
It's like sitting out looking at a cracking view but you can take your cardigan off

King's Head at Upper Beeding does a reasonable lunch and if the weather's ok has a nice beer garden next to the river.

White Horse in Steyning, top notch these days. Or the Fountain in Ashurst on the Steyning to Partridge Green road. A bit further afield, The Gun in Findon Village. All very good.

Booked the Fountain, had a look at the website, seems perfect.
