since we only became the "Seagulls" in 1976 this looks more like either a dubiously produced badge or one that has faded in the sunlight!
However the point made is a good one.
in the last 40 years the Albion have had a whole variety of kits, plain and striped, light blue, dark blue, red, black, yellow and pink.
But if you have only supported the club since the "sandtex" days then I accept the light blue has come as a bit of a shock
