Beram Kayal has warned Albion they will have to be on their game to head off setbacks against their next two Championship rivals.
The Seagulls collide with two of the promoted teams, Burton Albion and Barnsley, as they bid to build on Tuesday’s win against leaders Huddersfield at the Amex.
They visit Burton today and host Barnsley next Saturday after Tuesday’s League Cup tie at home to Reading, which Chris Hughton will use again to utilise his squad.
Mid-table Burton and third-placed Barnsley have both adapted impressively. They have already scored five headed goals apiece, the most in the division.
Kayal told The Argus: “We have a lot of respect for them. We know they have strength. Normally with teams coming from League One to the Championship there is a lot of confidence, a lot of energy, a lot of things to prove.

Hughton has an attacking conundrum for the first league visit to the Pirelli Stadium, as switching goalscorer Anthony Knockaert into a No.10 role against Huddersfield did not work.
Partnering Glenn Murray, on the bench on Tuesday, and Tomer Hemed together has also yet to pay off, so Sam Baldock could return to the mix if he recovers from calf trouble.
