My son came back from Netherlands last Saturday, just before the 4am Sunday change to the rules, recognising vaccines given to individuals overseas (as long as they are on the approved list for this Country). He was fully vaccinated over there in his study year. On return he assumed sensibly that he would be required to quarantine until Sunday 4am and from then onwards would be free to move around normally. We got a call on Monday to check he was quarantining and the rule only applies to those who have travelled after this date.

Seems to me like another ridiculous rule being taken out of context without thought. How can he be more infectious and require a quarantine period when travelling a day later. Since then he has been called twice and visited at home twice to check he is complying. Quite surprised and wanted to raise this in case anyone else is under same potential restrictions and assume will be the same post France update. A shame since he is only back visiting after a year away for a week.
