*whispers* not entirely beyond the realm of possibility that palace finish above us

I think they will. The manager has clicked and they have momentum whilst we just seem to want to feel sorry for ourselves and wish the season away.

If the 23/24 season was a 12 runner, one mile horse race, the Albion started like you might expect the 2nd or 3rd favourite to start, and gave it a real go. With a decent jockey, the money came in and we worked hard to stay in contention despite hitting a few fences hard and being unfortunately impeded at key moments. Sure, with a furlong or two to run, we've come up well short (and we may as well have just pulled up) but for 75% of the race we were bang there. And maybe we might sneak a place - we're waiting on the photo.

Palace were an irrelevant 22/1 tired outsider who were predictably miles off the pace the whole way round and even threatened to pull up early doors. Now that the race is nearly over, what they're now doing is merely threatening to pass beaten horses who actually did give their all for a chance of glory when it might have mattered. They are rolling their dogshit race in glitter.
