I wonder if we’ll see the return of our pragmatic 4-5-1 as away against Newcastle and home to Chelsea. Seems the way to go in this one, compact and direct
We went 451 and then 541 against Newcastle. Not convinced that was our formation against Chelsea at home, where we went with our usual 442/4231 (delete as appropriate). It's a thing we now do that during certain defensive phases (eg when they have a goal kick) that Minteh drops into the RWB role and the rest of the back four shift across. But that's not the predominant formation during the game which is as it usually is.
