Gus Poyet reckons Watford’s deflected second goal was the turning point at The Amex today.
But he admitted the visitors deserved their win.
Matej Vydra scored twice in a three-minute spell to see the Hornets to a 3-1 success.
Albion had dragged themselves level through David’s penalty, which cancelled out a Troy Deeney strike.
Poyet said: “At that time I am sure Watford would feel the impact of our equaliser and maybe the game would change in our favour.
“We needed to stay in the game at least ten minutes.
“So quick, a deflected goal. Goals change games. After that we didn’t know how to open them up.
“They were good on counter attacks so at the end I think they deserved this win.”
