I'm utterly gob-smacked at the useless service the post office provide to this country and still can't believe......

On my doormat when I got home just now is a letter from South East Water.

It is clearly addressed to Persimmon Homes in Weybridge.

I live in Hurstpierpoint.

There's no other letter that it could possibly have got stuck to that could possibly explain why it has been put through my door.

Not bad considering every working day Royal Mail collects, processes and delivers around 84 million items to 27 million addresses in the UK.

It's just a shame we only seem to be delivering to 1 of those 27,000,000

Happy with the service in relation to my speeding ticket documents being "stuck" at Southend depot.

Oh dear, what a shame, never mind.

NOT BAD? You are joking?

It's over 40 miles from where it should be and not even the same postal area (Weybridge is KT, Hurstpierpoint BN). There's absolutely nothing in the address that could be confused with my address. How is that "not bad"? :nono:

In fairness to my postie collegue.
The letter in question may well have been stuck to the back of another.
Only becoming unstuck when it hit your mat.

Alternatively he might just have been lazy.

It could have been stuck to an item of your neighbours mail , the postie then posted it through your letterbox along with your mail. Failing that , it could be they are steep curve training RM management into sorting and delivering the mail in case of national industrial action.

How do you know the postman did it?, maybe somebody from Persimmon Homes was so outraged at the size of the bill has sealed it back up and set out to shove it back up the arse of someone at Southern Water. He managed to walk as far as Hurstpeirpoint before he got tired and just decided to shove it through your door as a protest!

what does sully do for a living? because the phrase "service delivery" is classic RM management speak. Not trying to to stir up a bit of anti postal worker/cwu outrage are you?

FFS, try living anywhere else before you start abusing our postal system. As somebody who has I know how good it really is.

Yes but as a former resident of Hassocks I find Hurstpiepoint and it's pikey residents disgusting. Most of Hurstpierpoint is Council Housing filled with people of low IQs.

haha that's funny.
You're complaining now, what about when you're getting your post at 3-4pm.

Only about half of my delivery is done during AM, and that's a better ratio than many.

My experience of the postal system in this country is a good one, I very rarely have any problems and I do feel the need to back them up when people start moaning and say come on, nothing is perfect. But Royal Mail are pretty damn good overall.
