Possible Departures

After reading that we have offered 2 contracts to two strikers, that would leave us with 7 strikers, even by my book that's too many. Would probably expect it'd be Gatting and Robinson to get the chop unfortunatley if we do sign the two strikers. Would also be expecting the departure of Alexandre Frutos and maybe Adam El-Abd if what was said on here was true.

Anyone else likely to leave the club apart from these 4 ?

I don't think we will see the back of Gatting. Wilkins always speaks highly of him. I am sure we would see some shipped out on loan, if we do manage to get hold of another striker. I would imagine that one of the two strikers is a backup in case the other transfer does come off.

Are we planning on keeping Savage longer than December? I imagine someone would come in for him.

Jakey when he has the confidence is a good little player, which we saw for a small amount of last season.

El-Abd looks decent at times and complete pony the other, still not found his best position and also a bit of a trouble maker

Gatting - stays on our books because he is on about £30 a week.

But I doubt after last season any would attract interest from clubs at present.

I do agree we are already a tad top heavy on strikers (6 at present), but I do not think we will have any luck in offloading any other than Revell for a fee. We might is lucky get clubs to take over a contract, but more likely the odd one (Gargan) will get loaned out and the others will be fighting it out and using up wages.

Would hope they would go to at least Conference South. Cobbs has been to Worthing before and they are now in Ryman One.

robinson may also go out on loan but only if we do sign 2 new strikers. Would be unsurprised if he didnt move on by January

Savage if he starts well will get an extension

Dont see Revell or Elder going anywhere although if Elder not in team by xmas will go out on loan

El Abd going is probably inevitable and I reckon we would get a fee in the order of £50K with add-ons. He has potential to be a better player than he sometimes shows but worry about his temprement
