How come you never used to see anyone in a Pompey shirt until this season and now they are everywhere.
I played 5 aside last night next to Boundary park in Oldham and a bloke on the other team was wearing a pompeyscum shirt.....in Oldham!
I managed to give him a good whack on the shins a few times Leon Knight style, but this kind of pompey spread has got to be stopped. The sooner they are back in the 1st div the better.
Rant over.

Used to pee me off when my mum and dad lived in Chichester and later Bognor (1978- 2001) that in all the sports shops, you could only buy Pompey shirts ..... never ever saw a Brighton shirt on sale

That's down to our club though not the sports shop! The ONLY place you can buy a Brighton shirt is in our club shop. There can't be many clubs that operate like this?

Even worse Chichester is the home of County Hall, for West Sussex County Council (where I go for Youth Cabinet meetings) and the Christian Church for the whole of Sussex, we should move Chichester Cathedral to Brighton.

Yeah - a very good friend of mine (with whom I travel to Scottish football games) comes from Chichester and is a Pompey fan. Although, to be fair, when he lived down south he would always go to a Brighton game if they were at home and Poimpey away, and he readily admits that the Goldstone was one of the great grounds and he was extremely fond of it (and has great memories of going there).

Most galling is that he happily sings GOSBTS at the cricket.

Cycled over to Worthing last night (training for London->Brighton) and was horrified to see lots of cars with Pompey stickers in them. Surely Worthing is still Albion territory ?

You see the odd Pompey shirt around Guildford too, which probably isn't surprising given where the A3 goes to, but they are outnumbered by the Chelsea shirts on view, and the occasional Albion shirt as modelled by yours truly!!

The only thing that can cure Pompey disease is for Pompey to revert to their traditional home - that of division 1. And plans are surely in the pipeline...

If that happens by next year, maybe these poor sufferers will be cured before they reach these awful symptoms:
Talking loudly about what a MASSIVE club they are
Looking dog-rough
Unable to say ANYTHING when watching said team - except the words PLAY, UP and POMPEY.
Appearing on the chavscum website

The problem with pompey is made worse in the very west of Sussex by the local paper being Portsmouth-based. Can't remember its name, but the Arsegas isn't sold in my village shop only this pompey thing. Also, a lot of pompey exiles have seen the light and found that Sussex is the promised land and moved in making the problem worse. I think that Harry Rednap is even going to open my village fete as the councillor is a pompey fan.

This must be stopped. Still see quite a few Seagull stickers in cars and the odd shirt though.

Theres a lot of Pompeyscum in the Bognor and Chichester area of Sussex. I have that feeling they are trying to annex West Sussex to Hampshire.

If somebody wants to change the borders to incorporate those two dumps, you won't hear me complaining.......

Steady on chaps, it's everyones perogative to support whoever they like.

We pride ourselves on being a great bunch of fans, ready and willing to jump to the support of other clubs when in a time of need.

If they wear their pompey shits in Sussex so be it, but it aint a crime.

When the Albion get to the premiership, there will be a full house every week at Falmer and demand for another 20K seats. Until then, live and let live.

I'm working on a lifelong Spurs fan here, he's bought tix for him and his 2 kids for Sunday, and he's seriously considering a season ticket at Withdean next season.

They can all be changed.

someone with a bit of imagination should try tapping into the whole swathes of Kent that is nowhere near Gillingham.
