Got a couple of their compilations on rotation at the moment. Who NSC like better?

For me I think The Cure win out slightly

The Smiths' output absolutely pisses on the Cure's - that despite Morrissey being an utter arse, IMHO. He, and his "Mozza is God" devotees (who were everywhere in the late 80s, early 90s)actually put me off the Smiths for ages but Johnny Marr's guitar playing/arranging is worth the entrance fee alone. Brilliant band.

THE SMITHS are by far the the better of the 2 inmo. but if you asked the wife i think she would go for cure. i do like the cure very much but the smiths are one of my all time favs.

I love them both, 'Pornography' and 'Disintergration' are bleakmungus offerings by Fat Bob, and Mozza is a camp Northern scamp for whom I have tickets to see him at Bridgewater Hall this Spring.

They both headlined at Old Trafford in 2004 and were superb.

she's right mate. The Cure win out for me due to their longevity. The Smiths produced class stuff over a shorter period of time. As i said (under heat influence), they win out for me.
