We were having a drink in the cherry on saturday but then left to meet some friends in yates. There were a few brighton lads in there and when we left i have to stress there were only 8 of us and a mates cousin who is 10 we were given a police escort straight to the ground. There was 7 coppers and only 8 of us. what an absolute disgrace the police were absolutely clueless once again. Any way did anyone else see this on saturday, or have any recollection of any other bad memories regarding police escorts.

We went from the Cherry Tree to the ground on saturday and there was no police escort at all. Compared to Brentford where the police were out in force and looking for trouble. I thought it wasn't bad at all at Peterborough.

The police tend to escort those fans that (a) look like they might cause trouble or (b) are already known to them for causing trouble.

It's rarely (c) because they want to learn how to sing Bright Eyes.

Judging by some of your postings on here byf, i would say they were pretty spot on !!!. The Police do actually have a fairly good idea what a trouble maker looks like, I think the burberry uniform gives it away :lolol:

Have you notice how a lot of police escorts are grey these days instead of the usual white?

Yeah I noticed that as well, not sure why though maybe the old bill got a discount on a job lot of grey motors or something

Saw the Police tearing down towards the Cherry Tree with about 25 mins to kick-off. A large group of Boro were already on their way down there and the Police were on their way to intercept them.

Will never forget being met off the train by a police escort at Peterborough two seasons ago.

Despite pleas to go to the ground we were told that "we were all being taken to the pub" whether we liked it or not. Cries of "but I don't drink!" were met with stony faces and the reply that we could always have an orange juice!

We were then frogmarched PAST the Cherry Tree - where a group of NSC'ers were kind enough to wave as we went by - and to an altogether far less attractive establishment further down the same road. Must have been owned by the copper's brother or something. We managed to escape by jumping out of the toilet window and sneaked back to the Cherry Tree.

It so they can sell them on easier afterwards. Silver cars are more popular than white ones.

We walked straight through their lads being escorted, they were obvious faces and just wandered round as the police followed them.

Of course we had a go, being well ard and all.

Yeah, I was hearded that day. We managed to escape in to a chip shop on route, a couple of younger lads ran in to a bookies and the Police went after them a got them back out. Highlight of that day was telling the Coppers that about 3 other Albion fans that were laughing at us being escorted, had actually escaped from our group. Despite their protests, they had to join our merry group. Marvellous scenes.:lolol:

They also have holes in the roof where the lights were fitted - and lots of aerial holes in the wings. Used to, anyway, as I knew someone who bought one - it looked ridiculous! Full of rubber grommets.

At the same time, it would cost you less (seeing as its a ex police car) and the car would have enjoyed the best maintenance and tune ups money can buy!
