Gus Poyet admitted to the proudest moment of his career after sealing promotion to the Championship.
But he hopes it will be eclipsed within the next week.
The Albion chief was in buoyant mood after the 4-3 win at home to Dagenham and Redbridge which ensured promotion.
He said: "It is my proudest moment. Probably next week or whatever it takes to win the league would be even bigger but up to now, yes, no doubt it is my proudest night.
"Every single person in Brighton was expecting with five games to go we would be chasing someone. That is the truth.
"What we have done is much bigger than people think and better than we expected.
"Now I have to set another challenge to the players. The first one is to win the league, the second one is can we get to the beautiful number of 100 points."
