Nalis completes Home Park switch

Nalis has signed for Plymouth until the end of the season
Plymouth have completed the signing of French midfielder Lilian Nalis after his release from Sheffield United.
The 34-year-old, who has also served Leicester and Coventry, has signed a deal until the end of the season.

"The fact he's had Premiership as well as Championship experience helps," boss Tony Pulis told Argyle's website.

"He's given up an 18-month contract at Sheffield United to come here for six months, which shows he's not just going to sit around and take his money."

Pulis added: "He's a good passer of the ball - we need more players who have got experience of this league for the run-in, and he has played a lot of games at this level."

Blades boss Neil Warnock explained why the Frenchman had been allowed to leave Bramall Lane.

"We agreed to release Lilian for no fee in order that he is free to sign for Plymouth," said Warnock.

"With the signing of Garry Flitcroft we feel his chances of playing will become more limited.

"It has not worked out for him but we wish him well and thank him for his efforts."

Nalis joined the Blades in the summer on a free transfer from Championship rivals Leicester.

He appeared in the first three games of the season, but was unable to reclaim his place in the side after being ruled out by injury and spent a period on loan at Coventry.
