Come January if either Torres or Gerrard, or even Cole for that matter, were to transfer to a Champions League team because they have played in the Europa league are they cup tied, as the competitions do cross over at the latter stages? (or at least one way)

Pretty sure Javier Mascherano played in both for West Ham and Liverpool during 06-07 season. Not sure if the rules have changed since then though.

Depends who signs them.

If they join some a small team from the Ukraine they will be unavailable, but if they sign for Real Madrid, they can play.
