As we've (allegedly) been on the receiving end of players downing tools it's reassuring to see even the Champions of Europe have the same issue. While it beggars belief anyone can think there's a bigger or better club than Leeds to move to, it's interesting to see Leeds publicly call out the player in such a thinly veiled attack. Wonder if we'll see more of this from clubs and players?

Do players forego pay and even get fined for this shit?

Why don’t they just say they have a slight hamstring problem rather than refusing to play

Worthing
This is completely wrong and there is no excuse, and if I’m honest really feel there shouldn’t be forgiveness from supporters either.

We all work hard/have worked hard to be able to attend games and watch players, contributing to their salaries and the privileges they benefit from within the club. Therefore to down tools, because they can’t get their own way is appalling and actually quite insulting to us as supporters.

Fine them the maximum amount.

MacAllister absolutely handled himself perfectly throughout, you just have to wonder the benefits of an agent vs a n agent who’s a family member.

I wonder if one day a club might sue a player for breach of contract. That might not do the club’s reputation any good, but if the player is being enough of an ar5e…..

I think the worst was Leon Best. I don't remember it even being related to a transfer issue, he just sloped around the pitch absolutely refusing to play. At least the others had to decency to inform the manager first

Refuse to play or train = should be able to be fined their wages for those days missed.

And the club should also announce it to throw the player under the bus as well. If Caicedo really did clear his locker and disappear a few days ago, call him out on it as soon as he has left (not before, don't wanna piss off them or their agent in case then they screw us over even more during negotiations)

Also tapping up is meant to be illegal. So sue Chelsea as well, not sure how Caicedo can be so aware of what Chelsea are offering before we even accepted a bid for him. (unless we do this also, in which case that's prob why clubs don't take action)

Think it's agents who talk to clubs and act as go between with the player, seems this is not classified as tapping up especially when it's the agent who initiated the contact. I too find it ridiculous that terms can be agreed before a club even submits a bid.
