So what formation/team selection would everyone use against Stoke?

I'd go for
-------------Kuipers--------
Watson/El Abd-Cullip-Butters-Kerry
Hart---Nicolas--Carpenter--Jarret
----------Knight---Claridge--------

Subs: May, Watson/El Abd, Jones, Virgo/Hinsh, Oatway

Have El-Abd over Watson, then thats the best team we could play, unfortunatly its unlikely that McGhee will have that team.

With Jarrett and Mayo on the left, their right winger would have a field-day.But what do I know.

Quite agree.

Kuipers 6 One very good save but couldn't make a difference with the goals

Harding 5.5 Slipped back a bit from last week
Butters 7 Good play, fine distribution
Cullip 8 MOTM, excellent, took Dichio out of the game
Hinshelwood 5.5 Distribution a bit lacking today
Reid 7 Busy and accurate, very unlucky to be subbed

Oatway 8 The heart of every good thing we did - close to getting an absolute screamer of a goal
Carpenter 7 His best game of the season
Nicolas 6 Not as influential as he should be, perhaps carrying an injury

Virgo 7 Really great to have him back, defenders must hate him he's so powerful and ackward to mark. One great opportunistic shot from distance.
Claridge 6 Hardworking but still losing too much possession cheaply I feel

Subs: Knight 7 Lovely trickery but again his best work done in space outside the box, inside he gets dominated. Shame about the pen and last-minute free-kick.
Hammond 7 Bright half-hour from him
Watson 6 Welcome back!

For Stoke I would play 4-4-2, drop Hinsh, play Leon in the Currie role, Alexis on the other flank if fully fit, Dean if not, and the old firm of Cullip/Butters, Chippy/Charlie keeping things tight in the middle.

Average performance, particlarly first half. Millwall are not a good side we should have done better. Highlights for me were Butters, Knight and our away support. Wooden spoon goes to Harding, just not good enough.

Kuipers 6 Not at fault for the goals and covered other shots well

Harding 4 Got turned too easily for the first goal Not trying any more
Butters 7 Solid dependable and reliable. Good positioning
Cullip 7 Good captain's performance.
Hinshelwood 5 Fairly good game
Reid 6 He played well and was involved in a lot. Pity he was sacrificed for Knight.

Nicolas 6 Solid midfield player didn't do much wrong.
Carpenter 5 Not one of his better games. Maybe lacking confidence.
Oatway 6 He tried hard and went out on the wing when necessary.

Claridge 6 Missed a sitter in the second half
Virgo 6 Could have positioned himself better but still had a reasonable game

Subs:
Knight 5 Leon everyone knows what you're going to do with a penalty now. Maybe some variation would help
Hammond 6 Tried to make some impact but didn't have long enough, was negated by Wise coming on
Watson 5 was a bit invisible

So Yorkie missing a penalty equates to a poor performance?

I don't think so. He changed the game and we dominated then. So he's had one out of 12 (I'm guessing 12- anyone know the actual number?) saved, big deal!

Kuipers 7

Harding 6
Butters 6
Cullip 8
Hinshelwood 5 (had a mare marking players at the back and distribution)
Reid 6

Nicolas 7
Carpenter 6
Oatway 6

Claridge 7 (didn't really get many chances in the 1st half)
Virgo 6 (looked strong, but unsure how the defender-esque challenges are effective up the pitch)

Subs:
Knight 8 (turned the game for 25 minutes, wasted penalty)
Hammond 8 (more involving in the mid-field)
Watson 6 (looked slightly off-pace, was marking space a bit, but good to see him back)

5 is not a poor performance it is an average performance (mid way half the score)

We did start dominating and doing better but Millwall negated that by bringing Wise on.

The free kicks and the penalty were for Knight falling over. I grant you the penalty probably was but he fell over twice before that.

Kuipers 7 did his best and wasnt at fault

Reid 7 was pretty solid and looked good going forward

Hinsh 6 didn't do anything wrong but wasn't outstanding
Cullip 7 contained dichio well
Butters 7 very solid performance by Guy

Harding 4 was responsible for both goals and had a bit of a mare

Oatway 6 tried hard as usual
Carpenter 6 could have been better
Nicolas 6 has had better games

Claridge 6 some good play but to no avail
Virgs 6 tried hard but it didn't happen for him

Knight 8 (MOM) changed the game as soon as he came on
Watson 5 will have to improve to challenge for first team
Hammond 6 has been better but he worked hard at getting back

That really is crap. One good save by the keeper gets Knight a 5? What were you doing for the other 40 mins?! He changed the game, created so much, had a header saved and won the penalty (which was absolutely not a dive). Talk about Kinkygerbil being biased ...
