Kuipers - 7 didnt really have anything to do, and couldnt do much with the goal as it was only a few yards out.

El Ebd - 7 looks strong, made some good tackles. made a good cross in first half but passing wasnt great.

Butters - 8 composed and strong.

Cullip - 8 same as butters.

Mayo - 7 good performance gave it away couple times in second half in bad areas.

Hinselwood - 6 too defensive to be playing on the right, but ran around tiresly.

Hammond - 8 looked very comfortable and lniked up well with nicholas

Nicholas - 9 our best player. did everything right. almost scored in first half.

Currie - 8 made some good passes. still needs to work on fitness, but still worked hard.

Knight - 7 ran around a bit more, but got pushed off the ball on many occassions.

Virgo - 8 cracking goal, won headers, made tackles. great performance.

Subs:

Mcphee - 7. worked hard, won some headers.

Jarrett - 7 looked threatening. must be annoyed at why he was taken off.

Harding - 6. was only on for a few mins.

Couldn't understand why Nicholas was described as an agressive Midfielder when we got him.. can see now, he likes to get stuck in.

Great news to see the midfielders playing so well. it is good that we do not have to rush chippy straight back in and can now have confidance in nicolas and hammond. and it is brilliant that we can pick up points away from home in this division because we were not very good away last season were we.
all anti dick knight folk seem to have gone quiet for now. they will be back as soon as things go wrong again (if they do). but things really are looking brighter.

i gave him 6 because of the fact he was only on 15 mins thought hard about giving him more but felt needed to be on a bit longer for me to get anymore

Kuipers - 5 poor kicking though not helped by the wind. Also should have come for the cross leading to their goal IMO

El Ebd - 7 defensively solid, offered little going forward though

Butters - 7 generally solid, couple of moments of indecision/lack of pace though

Cullip - 8 marshalled the defence well

Mayo - 7 more going forward than El-Abd, but a bit less solid defensively

Hinselwood - 6 gave cover on the right but nothing going forward

Hammond - 8 very effective in midfield, his height was useful in both boxes too. Unlucky not to score when his shot hit the keeper

Nicolas - 9 MOM superb tackling, tireless running and chasing down. Great strike from distance well saved and I would be surprised if he misplaced a single pass

Currie - 8 another excellent passer, would be a terrific player if he had some pace

Knight - 7 looked effective when he got the ball but this was rare

Virgo - 8 fantastic goal and was mixing it up in the air. Defended and tackled well too

Subs:

McPhee - 7 looked good, I still fear he is not either outstandingly strong, big or fast though

Jarrett - 7 excellent for his ten or so minutes but of course that was all he got

Harding - 6 no time to get into the game
