Tomas -6- couldn't do much about goal
Bruno -7- great strike for the goal
Greer -6- his responsibility to get everyone higher up pitch
Dunk -7- composed playing from the back
Painter -7- feared the worst when saw he was starting but hardly put a foot wrong
Bridcutt -7- broke up play well. Was on the end of some nasty challenges
Hammond -7- completely dominant in midfield
Orlandi -9- MOTM. Great strike that hit the post. Is our new playmaker
Buckley -7- did well on wing. Created a lot
Barnes -3- usually defend Barnes but can't on today's performance. His missed penalty , rebound even worst and a complete air shot 10 yards out.
Cms -6- wish the chances fell to him today
Crofts -6- brought on to give us more in midfield. Ineffective
Calde -6- didn't have much to do
Hoskins -6- took his half chance well. Bogdan made a good save to deny him
Barnes -3- usually defend Barnes but can't on today's performance. His missed penalty , rebound even worst and a complete air shot 10 yards out.
Cms -6- wish the chances fell to him today
You see, that's one of the most frustrating things about Ashley Barnes. His ability to find space and positional play are better than CMS', but he often fails to convert the chances these aspects of his game create.
Kuszczak 7
Bruno 7.5 great goal and good link up play
Greer 7 good few blocks
Dunk 7 composed
Painter 7 - not quite the pace of bridge but solid enough
Bridcutt 8 fantastic performance
Buckley 7 warnock was one of the better left back's he faced
Hammond 5 gave the ball away a lot, more than people seemed to realise i think. was really poor other than winning a few headers
Barnes 2 don't think i need to say much
Orlandi 8.8 would've been 9 but for his chance, thought he was absolutely superb and deserved MoTM! even if bruno did score a screamer, thought orlandi fantastic
Mackail Smith 6 ran a lot, had a couple of shots. fluffed one first half
Subs
Hoskins 6.5 even in 5 minutes looked good
Crofts 6 solid but couldn't influence much
Calde 6 same as crofts
Kuszczak 7 Solid but gave the ball back to Bolton late on too often
Bruno 8 MOM
Dunk 6 Solid
Greer 7 Solid but made a couple of insane blocks
Painter 6 Pretty good but not a forward player
Bridcutt 7.5 Ran Bruno close for MOM
Hammond 5 Didn't really notice him
Orlandi 6 Missed a sitter but created chances well
Buckley 7 Clearly our best player but didn't get played in enough
Barnes 4 Piss poor pen and follow up. Defended well though but missed about 4 chances
CMS 4 Added nothing
Subs
Calderon 6 Didn't have time to do much
Crofts 5 Him and Hammond are identical and as such, did little
Hoskins Not really on long enough to judge
Overall Ok but let down again by our profligancy and our inability to concentrate for a full match. Easily could have been 4, 5 , 6 - 0.
Kuszczack - not much to do
Bruno 7 - would have been an 8 but for the goal
Dunk 8 - very strong and composed
Greer 7 - solid
Painter 7 - good performance meant we didn't miss bridge
Bridcutt 7 - worked very hard
Hammond 8 - best game for a while, I watched him closely, he had been poor so far but good today
Orlandi 8 - playmaker
Buckley 7 - came into it more in 2nd, caused problems
Barnes 4 - poor today, missed pen and chances
CMS 5 - missed a couple, not his best
Subs
Crofts for Barnes 6
Calde for Painter 6
Hoskins for CMS 7
Great team performance, no stand out MOM, very very unlucky.
Bridcutt - 8.5. Excellent as usual.
Hammond - 7. Pretty decent.
Orlandi - 8. Sheer quality.
Buckley - 7.5. Not quite up to his usual standard, but still good.
Barnes - 3. I'm normally a massive fan, but there are NO excuses for his performance today.
Mackail-Smith - 6.5. Wasteful, but hard-working nonetheless.
----------
Hoskins - n/a. Not enough time for a proper rating, but looked promising.
Calderon - n/a. Same ^
Crofts - n/a. Didn't really notice him do anything to be honest.
If I were Dobbie, I'd be pretty annoyed I haven't palyed for two games, we were crying out for him to help finish the game off.
(My ratings were based on the performance, not the result.)
Kuz- 7
Bruno - 8
Greer - 7
Dunk - 6
Painter- 7.5
Bridders - 7.5
Hammond - 7.5
Orlandi - 8 ( would have been 9 if he'd scored that sitter)
Barnes - 1 ( for turning up ( wish he hadn't) )
Buckley - 8
CMS - 7
Gus - 8 for tactics but minus 6 for persevering with Barnes. When will he see that he's not good enough. How many points is Barnes going to cost us before the penny drops?
