Would have probably been David Silva if he'd lasted the pace but RVP right choice in my view.

Definitely Van Persie. Incredible contribution to his team this season.

For his contributions over the season then definitely the right call, others have been better at times (Silva, Bale, Parker) but without the consistency RVP's shown.

At this rate, he may even make it to the standard of CMS. Maybe.

Van Persie the clear winner. Not sure why Bale is so highly rated, haven't been that impressed with him this year.

Like said, too many players started the season well but drizzled out, like Silva etc but RVP has just been kicking off all season. Right choice.

Am I the only one who really doesn't like Van Persie? I put a bet on last year for Scott Parker to win player of the year 2012, I think it was a great shout and he's done very well this year at Spurs.

Probably.
Parker is extremely over-rated, because he's a type of typical British player that is being driven out of the game, the likes of Essien, Roy Keane etc are/were far better at his job than he is. Van Persie has dragged Arsenal into the Champions League, and is top goal scorer in the division, so i'd say he deserves it.

Kompany deserves a big pat on the back though, class player.

Robin Van Persie has had an incredible season. Bale has done nothing of any note, he's been very quiet with only flashes of quality. David Silva hasn't shown up in the second half of the season. Joe Hart and Vincent Kompany both deserve big mentions, and I would argue that Johan Cabaye at Newcastle deserves recognition. Class act.
