Then, this afternoon, in a Chelsea press conference, Mourinho's been bleating on about the delay in getting medical assistance to the goalie.

Reading have just issued a press statement, condemning and denying Mourinho's allegations.

I admit it took a bit longer than you would expect to get medical attention. The ref spoke to the player before seeing if Cech was ok, then a delay in getting medics on the pitch, but then you don't expect that sort of injury.

Reading have listed - in full - the sequence of events and the time everything happened, and most of the time delays appear to have been because Chelsea's own medics didn't feel the situation was that serious at first. But Mourinho appears now to be blaming Reading's staff.

He ought to be up on a charge of bringing the game into disrepute. But would the FA even consider doing that?

so the Chelsea doctor f***ed around for 20 mins before calling in the paramedics who took one look at him and said he needs an ambulance now - which then arrived in 7 minutes.

I wonder who gets paid more - the paramedic or the chelsea doctor?

It's libel, isn't it? It's been reported and written down. So they could sue him and the papers that carried his story. Unfortunately, money buys you the very best justice and Chelsea know that.

I can't work out whether this is yet more tedious cultivation of a siege "everyone hates us" mentality or Chelsea's players and management really are so far removed from reality that they believe they've been hard done by by everyone, er, including ambulance drivers. WTF?
