Didn't we try to get him last season, surely we're a more attractive proposition than Posh?!

Peterborough boss Barry Fry claims he has not given up hope of bringing Birmingham midfielder Curtis Woodhouse to London Road.
Woodhouse joined the Second Division side last week for pre-season training with a view to a possible loan move.

And Fry is still hopeful that the two clubs can come to an arrangement for the 23-year old.

"At the moment it depends on what Steve Bruce decides to do," Fry said.

"But I'm hoping we can sort out a deal that would benefit both clubs and Woodhouse himself," he told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph newspaper.

Woodhouse was tipped as an England midfielder of the future while at Sheffield United but has struggled since moving to the Blues for £1m in 2001.

I take it Peterborough have a fair bit of cash this year or they wouldn't have slapped a ridiculous price on McKenzies head?

New owner, but no new cash.

I can see us signing Woodhouse on loan but I'll be gobsmacked if he joins permanently.

Good player in pre-season, how did he escape your clutches?

Anyway, Posh fans are infinitely better looking Beeney.

We paid Palarse something like £25k for McKenzie, I think it's something like 25-30% for the sell-on.

Always makes me smile when I recall how they failed to include a sell-on for Collymore :lolol:
