My views on Taylor have not changed since he left the Albion. He did an excellent job for us, he correctly identified the need to strengthen the squad for Div 1 in order for us to stay there, this did not happen and we were relegated.

His track record is chequered, and he made a number of blunders whilst at Leicester, but he is a good bloke in my book and I haven't got a bad word to say about him.

Too many people on NSC under-estimate what he achieved for this club.

How much money did Taylor want to strengthen the squad and how much was made available to him?

How much money was Coppell given to turn the team around which may I remind you he did, and was in a whisker of keeping us up?

Taylor bottled it!!

Lets see how Hull survive when the official receivers come knocking at the door.
20,000 crowds don't make me laugh.

Sorry but you are talking bollox there, official receivers, yes okay then. We are on target to make a profit this year and our break-even figure is nowhere near 20,000.

I agree Taylor is a fantastic coach, and did well for us, however, I beleive he bottled it.
It wasn't for the lack of funds that we were relegated and that was proved by Coppell.
How much was Taylor asking for anyway?

Too far from the sun
I still don't see how Taylor bottled it. I think it took more bottle to walk away than to stay. It's not as if he had another job offer on the table. The 'easy' decision would have been to stay, after all he could easily have made the poor budget public knowledge and expectations were mainly that success would have been staying up. He had the integrity to walk away because he wouldn't be able to do the job the way he wanted.

However I wasn't sad to see him go as it wasn't much like watching Brazil with him in charge and it would have been worse at the lower end of Div 1.

He was scared of failing it is as simple as that, he knew the financial situation of the club when he took over now why didn' t he give it a go and trust his coaching abilities and tactical knowledge to keep us up.
I would still like to know how much he asked for?
