I once scored 6 goals in a 9-0 rout of Sidley F.C, even made the local paper with that one.

Junior managed to score 6 goal once against Fishersgate Flyers.

Sadly I was in the corporate suite at Twickenham watching the rugby and not managing my sons team as I should have

I'm in the wrong thread :ffsparr:

First of all, my thoughts go out to the persons' friends and family. Always sad to hear such news.

Latest update on National Rail Enquiries Journey Planner is that lines are open and trains are now running, but delays of up to half hour are expected between Eastbourne & Lewes up until 13:00. The 13:22 from Ore that I always get should be fine.

Always sad to hear and gruesomely morbid to witness first hand. Japan have the right idea. The family are sent a fine or sued by the rail company.

Another person hit by a train - again affecting Southern and at Clapham Junction.

Will affect those coming down from London, especially Bolton fans.

I was on the platform when it happened but luckily didn't see it. Some paramedics treating someone on the platform for shock I assume
Tried to get back to London Bridge and start again but delays on the Jubilee meant I wouldn't make ko so aborted and sitting in pub with a bottle of red now.

How the frack is that the right idea? Financial penalties for a grieving family, genius.

What about the poor driver? What about the poor people that have to scoop them up off the tracks? They also do this in Germany, btw. Deutsche Bahn (German railway) even have a special sanatorium exclusively for the treatment of trauma for the drivers. The fine (whatever the amount) is there to discourage people from jumping in front of trains. Once it is common knowledge that your family will be fined if you jump in front of a train, you then know that your family will suffer to and you either not commit suicide or choose a different method.

Rail Suicides are terrible for everyone involved.

Surely you wouldn't care if your family will get fined, as you'll be dead.

They don't care that they are traumatising the driver, delaying thousands of people who want to get about their day and causing great sadness to their family do they, so why should they care about their family receiving a fine?

Do people who are about to commit suicide have such clarity of thought that they will try to avoid their family getting a fine? genuine question.

Yeah, the ones that aren't so selfish and melodramatic. I knew a guy that topped himself. He left 4 young children and huge debts all to his wife. That's an example of being selfish.
