Good report in People (apologies if already posted). Brings a bit of balance to Lewington's rubbish:

"FOOTBALL: VIRGO: YOUR FUTURE IS BRIGHT Sep 12 2004

Watford 1 Brighton 1

Ian Gibb

ADAM VIRGO, Brighton's makeshift striker, plundered his third goal of the season to clinch a richly deserved point at Vicarage Road.

Virgo, pushed up from right-back because of injuries, seized on a clever pass by the outstanding Darren Currie and from 20 yards hammered the ball into the top left corner with just six minutes left.

It followed Virgo's winner at Leicester as once more he showed that he is getting used to his new role.

Brighton had played much the better football and had looked comfortable, only for Watford's top scorer Danny Webber to pounce on the one chance he got after 53 minutes.

Webber has already exceeded his goals total for last season after his sixth in six games.

But it would have been a travesty if Brighton, after two clean sheets, hadn't come away with at least something.

Central defenders Danny Cullip and Guy Butters did so well in chaining up Webber that Michel Kuipers didn't have a shot to save.

Watford central defender Neil Cox, who had battered the ball black and blue with his clearances, suddenly came up with a silky touch on 53 minutes after Neal Ardley's corner wasn't cleared.

Cox's delightful chip allowed Webber to beat the offside trap and with one touch he swept the ball into the net.

But Brighton, with Alexis Nicolas and Currie on the left kept driving Brighton on and they clinched their point with just six minutes left.

Currie's pass caught out the Watford defence and Virgo raced away down the right before hitting the ball on the half volley, giving keeper Richard Lee no chance.
