PayPal question - payment under review?

Hi all - just sold something on an auction site (my PayPal account is Premier and Verified) and it is saying the payment is pending and is under review by PayPal. The item I am selling is legit and I have good feedback etc - why generally would PayPal do this? It says 'the sender of this payment is unverified' - would that have anything to do with it?

Bit preturbed as this has never happened before - they are buying my item from the States.

Anyone know what it means?

Read this (and about 100 other similar threads!) but still none the wiser as to what actually triggers it, and what they are looking for.
