Well worth bagging a ticket for this. Last two solo LPs have been underated crackers and he now digs out some Housemartins classics as well as a rocking cover of White Man in Hammersmith Palais. From Wembley to the Welly - few can have enjoyed such a meteroic rise to fame! He has a soft spot for the Albion, despite his visit to Goldstone with Sheff U on corner flag waving day . He gave an interview for the excellent, and sadly no more, European Football Weekends last year. Worth a read for his take on that game at the Goldstone and a few other stories. You can find it here - Paul Heaton interviewAnd, if Hosky fires Sheff U to promotion we may even get a beer out of him!

No, it's true

But is it???????? I have just returned from the Duke and the landlord tells me that the tickets have yet to go on sale. In fact, he has yet to pick them up from the post office but is hoping to do so this afternoon. He is awaiting for 100% confirmation about the gig and ticket arrangements etc but suggested that i returned later today.

I bought a few just after 9 this morning. From what I heard it was Atilla who lined up the Welly gig for him so he may know more about tikcets and how to get your hands on them. The on-line site does say sold-out, but that doesn't mean you can't get a ticket if you want one.

"He" is not selling them. They went online at 9am today. It's sold out.

Ok fine. Apologies, I must have completley made up my last post or there was an imposter behind the bar 1 hour ago hilariously feeding me a pack of lies. Silly me - I thought that you might be grateful to hear that there may be another opportunity to buy a ticket. However, given the tone of your post I wish I hadn't bothered.

Wouldn't surprise me if tickets were held back to sell to regulars etc, pub may well be picking up a few to sell this way across the bar.
