Fingers crossed, touch wood, hold your thumbs etc etc...

We are currently liaising with the ECB with regard to us possibly winning the Championship (we don't want to tempt fate!) and if we are that lucky then the ECB will be presenting the trophy to Sussex at Hove during the Leicestershire game and NOT at Old Trafford.

Hove, the place to be next week.

Naturally we would love to have a full ground for the Leicestershire match and we are going to make it a four-day celebration (Wed 17th Sep - Sat 20th Sep) with happy hours, band music and much more. So do come down to the match and be part of it all, you are all so very welcome and it wouldn't be the same without the Club's supporters at this time.

Obviously we are somewhat restricted by the time and the fact that we haven't actually won, but we will (if we win) have some commerative clothing available in the Club Shop during the Leicestershire match and this range will increase once the season is over. We're sure we'll have items that will suit all tastes!

Watch this space for further news...

:clap2: :drink:

That is no dilemma. Got to be the cricket, Sussex winning the championship is the best thing to happen to this county since 1983.

Its a credit to the club, the players especially for forming such a tight side, the supporters for sticking with them even though we've been pretty shit for about 8/9 years and of course, the NCS Pissup Brigade for bringing proper drunkeness to the County Ground.

I dedicate this post to Umer Rashid. RIP son.

What day is the Ceremony for the trophy though? If its Saturday then I may have to sell my Sheff Weds ticket or rush from the match to the ground for the celebrations at 6pm or something!
