Had a lot of difficulty getting these off the website but finally last week got tickets for the Athletics in the Olympic Stadium next Saturday (morning session). Really looking forward to it . Anyone else on NSC got tickets ?. Anyone else already been , if so any useful info ?.

Ignore the advice to get off the Jubilee Line at West Ham. The promised crush at Stratford simply won't materialise. The queues to get into the Olympic Park and the stadium don't exist. Security is pleasant and easy. The stadium is great. The only advice I would offer is to gen up on what the various disability categories are for athletics. The information is in the daily programme - buy a copy. And once the morning session is over, stay on at the Olympic Park and take a walk. When the games are over, I can imagine people just wanting to go there for the simple pleasures of walking about and relaxing. The Big Screens will entertain you as well. If you're looking to buy food and drink, be selective about the queue you choose to join. Seek out a stall where there are no queues whatsoever.

We went to the athletics yesterday (Friday morning). It was a superb day out. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Get in early. Walk around the park. Explore the riverside walks, the art and gardens. After your session go up to the Parklive screens and enjoy the rest of the day. You can't take liquids in, but can take empty bottles that can be filled with water for free. You can take food in though which could save you a few quid.

Smile, cheer and be amazed at the performances. Elite sport at it's best. Enjoy.
