Playing in the conference they are getting higher gates than us. Att: 5,844 last night. Bit depressing huh! :nono:

Oxford United have a decent regular support – it is only the money men that have screwed them over, that they find themselves in the conference. It is only 20 years ago that they won the Milk Cup!

The Kassam Stadium is a good example of building a stadium to suit their needs with an option to extend. It is a bit drafty with only three stands though.

They are my second team.

In a pile of football shirts
Same old story though, and adult can go and watch them for £14. Makes a huge difference when deciding whether to go to the match.

Not really. Its what happens if your doing well, I believe we would be getting upwards of 7k if we were challenging.

On a scale of 1-100…..Brighton = 100; Oxford = 5; everyone else 1

I used to accompany, my now Brother-in-law, whilst studying @ Brookes. They have been through the mill with Robert Maxwell in charge of them.

Anybody remember when we played Oxford in the FA Cup in 1982 and go t beat 3-0 at the Goldstone and the 'infamous battle of the bowling green' in Hove Park ?

They don't own it though, kassam does. And he owns all the surrounding area, the shops and cinema etc. If he wants to they're f'ed without any back up.

True, but I thought that Merry et al, were going to attempt to buy the stadium off him. He made a fortune out of building flats over the Manor - ring any bells!?

They should have bought the club a while back when he stated he would sell it for £1. In the end, I think they paid £2m or so....

Their attendances were a lot less than that on average last season.

It's only because they are doing well. Fair weather fans n'all that.
