Quite surprised that hasn't been a thread on this. Did anyone watch this last night and/or the night before? What did you think of it?

Quite promising I thought...

Yeah saw the first 2 episodes, it looks good although I'll be reserving my judgement until it's got going. There is always a danger with these types of programmes that they will run out of decent story lines.

reminded me of Doctor Who or Blake's 7 using a quarry as the set for a "distant planet" and the storylines are reminiscent of the (excellent) Pathfinders to Mars kids sci-fi series from about 1960 but, unlike all of those, I don't think Outcasts will be a tv classic

Early days yet, there is clearly a lot of sub-plots germinating, and I don't think any characters' intentions are know yet - though the Ugly Betty guy is clearly evil.

Didn't see it. Would definitely do Hermione Norris though, if this helps?

I watched the first one and was a bit disappointed. It didn't really grip at all, I just didn't care that Apollo was gonna kill his kid or whether his mates were going to join him by the lake. The characters just did not seem developed at all, personally I would have spent more time in that first episode getting us to know the characters.

Disagree, I watched most of both episodes, it has "something" but then I am a sci-fi addict.

Even a touch of "The Prisoner" in there somewhere, I think it depends how they develop the guy who arrived last night. He's obviously the "baddie" with quasi-religious overtones.

BY the way, where is this filmed, looks a bit like the "Prisoner" remake which was in SWA, but I think its a bit further north, would guess a Med or Atlantic island?

Turned it off after 5 minutes totally shit !

Well obviously the first five minutes of ANY programme really give you a full idea of whether it is going to be any good, I'm pretty sure that's what the critics do too.

Watched the first 2. Going to stick with it.

When "getting to know" the characters, I was surprised that the couple, that I thought, would be the main players were killed in the first episode!
