Going to the Goldstone with my Dad was a highlight of the week sadly he is no longer is with us looking back we had many great days then suddenly it was all gone (the ground not my dad well not yet )..........stolen by Archer and the rest...........my world was looking so bleak then our shining Knight arrived not much in the way of funds but all the heart a real fan in charge staying up that year was a fantastic achievement and against all the odds which was followed by an Election night in Hove Hall when the chant went up "Ivor in Archer out Brighton Staying up" we then endured Gillingham 150 mile round trip only missed one game the team were awful but the fans were great and then our fantastic campaign to bring the club home, I remember walking the streets of Hove with leaflets, handing out leaflets in Churchill Square meeting nice and not nice individuals marching along the prom, with hundreds of others putting blue and white Balloons up on every lamp post in Brighton and Hove in the early hours before the next Election, only this time with a yes/yes vote to bring the team home................then withdean to honest not much of an improvement on Gillingham but at least it was ours ..... Loads of fantastic memories thanks to a great team on and off the pitch.............. Falmer seemed to be a lifetime away five years turned to ten I have to say I started to doubt it would happen .........then after two public enquiries our cub was allowed to Bloom (sorry)..........And now it’s almost here I have to pinch myself every time I drive past Falmer its going grounds this club has something very special...................us all of us.......................we are one of the best sets of fans anywhere......................I cannot wait until the first game I will raise a glass for all those including my Dad who did not live to see the day I will have a tear or two scream Seagulls sit back and watch the club I love in one of the best grounds in the country
