Yorkshire's Steve Kirby was taken to hospital on the opening day of the Frizzell County Championship clash with Somerset at Headingley.

The pace bowler was knocked unconscious after being struck on the head in his follow-through by a Nixon McLean straight drive.

Ouch.

Talking about pain, when I was in London I saw a chinese man get knocked down by a cyclist. He stepped off the path right in front of him spliting his face open from forehead to cheek. Someone even picked up 3 of his teeth from the road. That had to hurt

That's nothing. When I was at school I was practising for the long jump when someone shouted 'look out!' Naturally I turned to see what he was talking about and was immediately hit in the goolies by a rocket shot from the cricket nets nearby. Now that hurt - one doesn't wear a box when doing the long jump.

Miraculously, I have still produced some kids - but where did they get that red hair? Not from me...

Someone in a game I was watching a mate in went to sweep the ball and it flicked off his bat into his jaw, not wearing a hemlit it smashed his teeth and shattered them, leaving bits imbedded in his gums.

Possibly from the crimson stained sperm that now frequent your testicles?
