[h=3]Orlandi's excited about Vale trip[/h]5:00am Thursday 23rd January 2014 in Albion By Brian Owen
Andrea Orlandi returned to the starting line-up at Derby
Andrea Orlandi today admitted he excited about being put in the FA Cup firing line.
And not just because it is a chance to get sharp for the Championship.
The Albion playmaker is desperate to feature in the tricky fourth-round tie at Port Vale on Saturday after a four-month battle against knee trouble.
His team’s potential banana skin against League One play-off chasers is not the tie fans craved.
But Orlandi, who was surprisingly left on the bench for last season’s glamour fourth-round tussle with Arsenal, sees it is a chance to make progress.
He said: “Every game is exciting for me now.
“I feel physically good and it’s about keeping going and getting games.
“But I think this is a good chance for us to get through.
“It is not going to be easy and we don’t want to be disappointed by a League One team.
“Our priority is the league, of course, and getting to the play-offs.
“But if we get a good draw or go forward in the cup we look forward to it.”
