Whist I understand that it was irritating for the two fans concerned, claiming $5 million damages because you rented a movie on the basis that an actress that appeared in the trailer wasn't in the film seems excessive, even for Americans. Full story below but TL : DR two fans of an actress suing Universal pictures as the trailer jhowed the actress whose part was cut from the final film

On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Stephen Wilson issued a ruling in a case involving the Beatles-themed 2019 film “Yesterday”. Two fans of “Blonde” and “Knives Out” actress Ana de Armas filed a lawsuit in January, alleging they rented the movie after seeing de Armas in the trailer.
