My argument is can Leeds be called a giant??

reply I have just received is :

I think when the Times published their top twenty worldwide clubs in terms of turnover etc - Leeds were 7th. Check it out, you'll find it. There was only Liverpool and Manchester United near. We were the THIRD highest English club. This is because GLOBALLY we have a massive support - still bigger than Arsenal, Newcastle and Chelsea. I think this qualifies us as a football Giant - to be fair, if we weren't a big club you wouldn't read so much about us all the time. If Brighton went bust you might get a sentence in the Sunday Sport.

Unfortunatly we dont come to close to Leeds in comparison. They are a massive club (Fans all over the world etc) They have just been royally f****ed by Ridsdale hence theri current position

He mentioned how Leeds Utd were still a gianty so I sent a message jokingly asking how are Leeds a giant when the last thing they won was the old 1st division.

Like any Leeds fan he hit the roof before realising I was jokin!!

I have a Leeds fan sitting next to me here at work. As I was off yesterday, Today was the first time I could mention how great it is to be above all the big teams in the league...and Leeds:D :D

I keep mentioning that the thought of back to back relegations must be horrible :lolol: :lolol:

They might be a big club but they have no divine right to be in a higher league. Sheff Wed, Man City, Sunderland and Villa have all been in the division below us in my lifetime. And they are on a par with Leeds.

Comparing them with us is irrelevant
