Those people who remember Southern TV will remember presenter James Montgomery. We're having a discussion in the office about Southern and I recall that JM was married to a porno star or similar.

Can anyone remember whom he was hitched to?

Fiona ?????, she was also famous for getting in the bath with the Palace players in the 70s, I think Malcolm Allison also dived in with her as he was the scumbags manager at the time.

I think her name was Fiona Richmond. Talking of Southern do you remember those two geriatric weathermen/woman Cyril Ockenden and Ingred Holford??

Thanks guys, it was Fiona Richmond. I remember it now.

Don't remember the geriatric weather people. I remember Trevor Baker was the weather presenter for a long time.

Does anybody remember that country bumpkin fella that used to be on before 'The Big Match' on a sunday.
Was it Jack Hargreaves?
Fecking longest half hour programme ever, just wanted it to finish so I could watch the highlights of the Albion

You mean the 95% of the time they weren't showing Southampton or Portsmouth?

Thank God for Meridian and coverage of all the southern teams...er, hang on a minute.

Jack Hargreaves now there is a blast from the past, I think Bob Fleming from the fast show was based on him.

But I liked Jack. I could sleep off the lunch time drinks and wake up for the Albion Highlights. Except it was always Southampton, Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Swindon,Reading, Gillingham. That's why I went drinking at Sunday lunchtime :D

Southampton and Albion - Pompey were down in the 4th in those days weren't they??

Was it "Out of Town" with Jack Hargreaves . Modern day equivalent is that dreadful Ground Force programme I guess?

Useless bit of trivia- Fiona Richmond had a personalised car number plate - FU2 how classy:clap:

Yep - the programme was called "Out of Town". I think it might have pre-dated The Big Match by a few years too.

Jack used to show us how to fish, catch rabbits, make useful things out of logs etc....

Blinding...

ahhh dear ole jack....... didn't he have a bit of an otter fixation.

Out of Town: perfect if you wanted to know about fishing tackle, hare tickling or badger teasing. Hargreaves came to an untimely end after being buggered by a Suffolk Punch in the Fenlands.

Anyone else remember the newsreaders, Crispy Cock (Chris Peacock), Barry Westwood, Fred Dinenage (wanker), Brian Shallcross, Trevor the Weather.
