Help needed!
Some on here know that I run a small NGO in Athens (Lighthouse Relief). We provide football sessions for children and young adults living in Ritsona refugee camp, north of Athens. They have an EXTREMELY tough life, but playing football is a great way to help them get a little bit of a normal kid’s life - even for a few hours.
Although Lighthouse Relief is small, we do great work! (last December we won an award at the International Peace & Sport Awards in Monaco).
Unfortunately our funds got pretty low last year, and we had to pause our programme just before Christmas. However, we are now about to restart, and we’re on the look-out for kit….in particular shirts.
The kids are mad keen on Messi and Ronaldo, but I’m trying to convert them to Solly and Carlos!
So - if you have any unwanted old shirts (kids or small adult sizes), I would be extremely grateful for any donations. They don’t have to have March or Baleba on the back
I am taking stuff to Athens at the beginning of next month, so if you can get any donations to me before then, that would be great…I could collect from The Amex (before the Liverpool match), or would reimburse postage costs. If you can help, please message me.
