He ruled out the goal on the field.

Well if you say that he gave the penalty, was called over to the monitor by VAR, watched it again off the field, then walked back onto the pitch and ruled out the goal, yes technically he was on the field when he ruled it out.

But only having been pointed out his incompetence by VAR.

? The penalty award and the disallowed goal were two completely separate incidents.

He disallowed the goal in 'real-time'. Nothing to do with VAR.

He gave the penalty and then overturned it after VAR intervention.

It shouldn't be hard to add time. But refs can't do it, clearly they've shown they can't.

This is what the people at Stockley Park should be doing. Watching the game and timekeeping. Let's free up the refs and 4th officials to manage the increasingly shocking behaviour

I would like to see a huge increase in yellow (and red) cards issued. Things like, failing to retreat 10 yards and standing there arguing. Fine, yellow card.

Discipline levels are shocking, because refs feel judged if they hand out too many cards. We need to shift the culture the other way. Failing to follow the refs instructions immediately, should be a card. Let's only have the Captains communicating with refs as well please
