See what lies ahead for Albion next month.

Brighton & Hove Albion head into October with a slightly less hectic schedule of five games in the space of four weeks.

Chris Hughton’s men are in good form heading into the month, keeping four consecutive clean sheets in the league which has yielded three victories.
*
The Seagulls start the month at Hillsborough to take on Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday 1st October, in what will be a first visit to the stadium since the 2-0 play-off semi-final first leg defeat back in May.

A two-week absence in action follows due to the international break, before Albion host Preston North End at the Amex on Saturday 15th October.

It will be only the second-ever meeting between the two teams at the Amex, following a goalless draw back in October 2015.

The Seagulls then play the second of two home matches in the space of four days when Wolverhampton Wanderers are the visitors on Tuesday 18th October, kick-off 7.45pm.

Kazenga LuaLua scored a brace in one of the most memorable fixtures between the two sides in recent years, when the Seagulls secured a 2-0 victory over the West Midlands club in May 2013.

A trip to the newly-promoted League One champions Wigan Athletic follows on Saturday 22nd October. The Latics having endured a tough start to life back in the Championship, with only eight points from their opening ten league games.

Albion have made four previous visits to the DW Stadium, and were victorious there back in November 2013, when a goal from Andrew Crofts secured a 1-0 win.

The month’s action ends with an eye-catching fixture with Norwich City at the Amex on Saturday 29th October, kick-off 3pm.

Former Seagulls loanee Bradley Johnson scored the only goal of the game the last time these two sides met, as the Canaries secured a 1-0 victory at the Amex in April 2015.
